Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have some big needs that they need to fill this off-season. Starting with defense. Atlanta's defense was ranked 21st overall. Which is terrible. The Falcons need secondary as well as defensive linemen.
The Falcons have mentioned a few names in which they are interested in already and they are: LaDainian Tomlinson and Julius Peppers where two of the big name players that could be difference makers for the team.

LT knows Micheal Turner well from when they were teammates in San Diego and wouldn't mind getting the one two punch back. The Falcons need to add depth at this position and could steal LT because most think that he's to old and is losing a step.
Julius Peppers would also be a very big addition since he's been a unstoppable force since he came into the league. He has speed and quickness along with strength. Him and John Abraham could be just what this defense needs to get some pressure on the many great Quarterbacks of the NFC.

A few other notable names that would help the Falcons are Dunta Robinson of the Texans who is now a free agent and also Nnamdi Asomugha who the Raiders want to trade.

The last option for secondary would be drafting some young guys in the NFL Draft which is always interesting.

Bowden retired in 2009 and left big shoes to fill for Coach Jimbo Fisher. For all the Florida State fans in the world this is a sad time to watch their coach that they have loved and supported all these years walk away. It's just as sad for coach Bowden to have to walk away but at the age of 80 it was Bowden's turn to go.

Saints are Champs

The Saints finally have the gorilla off their backs and did it in fashion Sunday against the Colts in the Super Bowl. Defeating the Colts in the Super Bowl was the biggest accomplishments in the history of the Saints. Congratulations Saints fans and also to the city of New Orleans.

Was winning the Super Bowl better for the Saints Organization or for the city of New Orleans?

How big of a risk is it for professional football players to play in the Pro Bowl?

All sports have an all-star game for their top athletes to compete against one another to determine which league(s) is better that particular year. Sports people love these types of games. In baseball and basketball the all-star game is more playful and these athletes have a lesser chance to get a major injury that could have an impact on the rest of their careers. But, in the National Football League it's a little different story.

The Pro Bowl is the name of footballs all-star game and is just like the other sports comes every year around the same time and has its top athletes compete. The only difference is that it's a contact sport. It's physical and these players risk their health every time they step on the field. These players get paid the big bucks for how the perform on the field.

With this being said most feel that the Pro Bowl should be changed for not only the players but also for owners who invest millions in these players. The Pro Bowl is just like any other regular season game but the winners take home $40,000 dollars and the losers get $20,000. So these players give it their all to win. All it takes is one big hit and a player could have a season or career ending injury. Each year more and more of the big name athletes in the NFL have been missing the Pro Bowl because of the thought of an injury or just because of the mental and physical beating these athletes take after 16 regular season games and if the team makes the playoffs which could be another 4 games possibly.

Being that the NFL is one of the best sports in all of sports played and watched, why should we risk hurting our top performing athletes? So the question we should ask ourselves is, should the Pro Bowl continue or should it be changed somehow to make it safer for these athletes?

Colts or Saints, which is going to win the Super Bowl?

Most people are saying the Colts have the upper hand in the Super Bowl even though the Saints want the fairy tale ending. And what better city could this happen to other than New Orleans. The city that was demolished and also New Orleans have never been to the Super Bowl.
