Bobby Bowden was one of the greatest college football coaches of all time. Booby took over the head coaching spot at Florida State in 1976. He ended up coaching for FSU for some 34 years. He is known as a legend in Tallahassee where he will won some 377 games 2nd most all time in college football history. Bowden won everything from championship games to meaningless games.
Bowden's Highlights :
- 2 National Championships
- 12 Atlantic Coastal Conference Championships
- 21 Bowl Wins
- 377 wins (2nd most all time)
- 14 straight seasons of 10 or more wins in a season.
Coach Bobby is the only coach in history to win atleast 10 or more games in 14 straight seasons in Division 1 football. He coached NFL greats such as Deion Sanders and Warrick Dunn, along with many many more outstanding NFL players over his coaching career.
Bowden retired in 2009 and left big shoes to fill for Coach Jimbo Fisher. For all the Florida State fans in the world this is a sad time to watch their coach that they have loved and supported all these years walk away. It's just as sad for coach Bowden to have to walk away but at the age of 80 it was Bowden's turn to go.
